Hello, my name is Leah.

I’m a product designer with 12+ years of experience with design roles at Crate & Barrel, Gretel.ai, and U.S. News & World Report, along with several freelance projects.

I think about design the way an architect thinks about a building: structure first, details second. The best solutions aren't just intuitive for the person using them, they work for the team building and maintaining them too. I ask a lot of questions, not to slow things down, but to make sure we're solving the right problem before committing to an answer. The most durable design work is often invisible. Consistency compounds quietly, in both directions.

I do my best work in cross-functional environments where design has a real seat at the table and collaboration is how decisions get made. I'm energized by teams that exchange ideas openly and are invested in getting it right. My passion lies in design systems, process, and the intricate details most people overlook. That's where the craft actually lives.

How I work

Systematically

Good systems create space for better creative work. Speed and creativity follow from having a solid foundation under you.

Intentionally

I prioritize accessibility, research, and data to understand not just what users need, but why. I design for the person I've actually talked to.

Strategically

Great design shapes product direction, not just execution. I bring design thinking to the decisions that happen before anyone opens a design tool.

Passions beyond the 9-to-5

Seeing the world

I love to travel and am always planning for ways to put more stamps in my passport and mud on my boots.

Cooking (and eating!)

Exploring flavors and sharing joy with loved ones is a delightful creative outlet I cherish.

A good book

Reading is my escape, knowledge source, and gateway to countless adventures.

Want to work together?
I’d love to hear from you.
